A new series for Women Grow Business: 5 Stats & Facts
While reading online recently, various data stood out. On some of these, I’m curious to learn what type of businesses participated in the surveys. Despite not being privy to those details, below offered interest and even some encouragement, especially the first stat:
- 1.) About 58% of women business owners expect revenues to grow this year, while 44 percent don’t expect problems in securing credit.
2.) Women CEOs get higher base salaries or 103% of median male salaries (yet when stock options are factored in, this lead declines).
3.) Women comprise almost 51% of management, professional, and related professional tracks in the U.S.
4.) How many women CEOs work in the Fortune 500? 14.
5.) The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council reports 25% of women business owners are taking their businesses to international markets.
More quick factual snapshots to follow each week.
So what reactions are there to above? Does anything here inspire your surprise?
