Stories convey the heart and soul of your company; they demonstrate the essence of a project; and they communicate in ways that a marketing piece can&#039;t.  Stories are also a powerful way to bring new staff into your company culture.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;When I&#039;m doing a presentation, I always try to start with a story or interesting factoid.  You are right about jokes being too risky.  But stories immediately bring your audience into your world, bring them into your presentation, add an intimacy and closeness to your speech.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Well done!</description>
