You're Invited! Allyson Kapin Shares Her Digital Mojo at July's DC Media Makers (NPR hosts)

by Jill Foster on July 22, 2009

If you’re game for learning digital media in a fun, conversational forum -

If you seek feedback on a particular digital project – either for your business or a personal digital pursuit -

If you want to learn new web tools in a relaxed, peer-to-peer environment -

Or if you just want to meet enthusiasts in digital tech and education -

Then swing on by
-to NPR headquarters this Wednesday, 7/22 for DC Media Makers‘ July meetup.

Why I love DC Media Makers
Granted I’m not the most objective person with DCMM because heck, I’ve been a big fan for a while. But it’s the type of forum that’s cultivated that is so appealing. No matter what your level of experience with digital tech or media, there’s a place for you at the meetups.

People from videographers doing pro bono online campaigns to movie makers to tech startups to the Sunlight Foundation have shared their passion and tech know-how at these events.

Whether they are crafting a digital project for business or just sharing new editing software or other production tips – a range of professional and amateur enthusiasts chime in this forum. The goal really is to teach, learn, have fun, and repeat.

This week: Allyson Kapin and her digital mojo
RAD Campaign partner and WomenWhoTech founder Allyson Kapin has got some digital media mojo for sure. She’ll present on what she’s observing with women in tech, her motivation to launch the WomenWhoTech telesummit (an incredible event fyi), and more. She’s done some great, far reaching work; so please know you’re welcome to join us for this great, digital conversation.
