by Jill Foster on August 24, 2009

This looks to be a fantastic resource for the region. And I look forward to attending (and seeing you there?!). Thanks to Kathy Harman, Women In Technology’s Board member for sharing this info.

Showcase your cutting edge technology
Apply to get your innovative tech in front of DC’s business owners, executives and tech professionals at the Women in Technology (WIT) Technology Exposition

Who, What, When: September 17th
The Potomac Region’s technology community is growing. Some of the brightest minds in the area will be showcasing their innovations on September 17 at Women in Technology’s first Technology Expo. This event will be held at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner. Here is your chance to show the local community what you have to offer!

WIT is now accepting applications online. Space will be limited to companies that have developed a new technology (service or product) or are using an existing technology in a new and innovative way.

The expo is limited to 30 exhibitors.

An expo plus roundtable discussions too
In addition to WIT’s expo, a panel discussion will convene comprised of local executives moderated by Paul Sherman, the editor of Potomac Tech Wire. The panel discussion will examine the major trends and issues facing the Potomac Region’s technology community and compare our region to other technology regions across the country.

Winning Best In Show
At the end of the evening, Women in Technology will present “Best In Show” awards in several categories. The winners will be selected by event participants at the Expo. Winners will be showcased on the WIT website and promoted in a press announcement after the Expo.

How to be a prospective tech exhibitor
Prospective exhibitors must complete a short application. Thirty exhibitors will be selected from the applicant pool.
