About Women Grow Business

Welcome to Women Grow Business (it’s good to see you here).

This is where it’s all talked about – ‘it’ being the big picture experience of women in small business, entrepreneurship, and more.

It’s about how women make their business succeed.

Topics include leadership, marketing, operations (especially in tough economic times), benefits of social cause partnership, talent retention, online presence, entrepreneurship, social technology, mentorship, failure, and success.

That’s what we’re about: the big picture of how women grow business.

Our successes are your successes. To put not too fine a point on it, we’d be nothing without you.

In 2009, this blog community was cited in the Washington Post more than once (up and comers bridging the digital divide), TechBisnow, and The Huffington Post. Five blog contributors (including founding editor Jill Foster) were cited in Washingtonian’s Top 100 Tech Titans list.  From CNN to primetime local news to Forbes’ top women entrepreneurs on Twitter – achievements by the bloggers have been in conversation.

So again, a hearty welcome with one question:

What’s on your mind?

Hi Jill, I am very excited about the Women Grow Business blog! The articles and content are relevant and provide an interesting perspective to someone like me coming from a Big Bank Corporation.

Thanks again and I look forward to more articles!

Michelle - Thanks big time for the feedback and for visiting WGB. If you think of topics you'd like to see covered more in depth - or if you'd even like to guest post - certainly relay those ideas.

The contributor team and myself are glad to brainstorm anytime.

You created a post on LINKEDIN wanting to interview WOMEN Business. It seemed like a good idea at 1st & I was happy to try to assist you by putting your request out to the numerous WOMEN in my Professional Network. It is terribly frustrating NOT to have a direct phone # or email to reach you at and you can not be contacted through Linkedin....
I question your methods.... You can contact me at BG4.milgov@gmail.com

Hi Ben,

I appreciate you mentioning how you learned of the blog on LinkedIn. This was my first time to pose a question on that network; and the response has been incredibly positive and forthcoming. It's been a motivating week for sure.

As for making contact, there are a few online social networks where I participate steadily: first, certainly the comment section here at WomenGrowBusiness, Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=683742585&ref=profile, or via Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/jillfoster.

Thanks for visiting the blog and taking time to reach out.

Best,

Jill F.
